Certain occupational factors are related to higher risk for cardiovascular disease. MFP Work Wellness offers two cardiovascular screenings: Exercise Stress Test and Electrocardiogram (EKG).

An Exercise Stress Test:

• Tests the function of your heart under an increasing workload.
• The patient exercises on a treadmill while being studied on the cardiac monitor.
• This test helps reveal an obstruction in the blood vessels feeding the heart muscles.
• Is a component used by the physician to recommend the type and level of physical activity appropriate for the patient.

An Electrocardiogram (EKG) is a quick and painless test that records electrical activity in the heart using sensors placed on the skin over the chest
